Thanks to Ken for these shots. Taken with a digital camera that can
"stitch" the sections of a panorama together. Highway 3a Kootenay Lake
crossing, looking East and South from the ferry terminal on the Columbia
River. |
The view from Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump in southern Alberta. The
jump is actually just to the left of the picture, and is about 12 metres
high. This is a World Heritage Site, and the suspicion is that natives
had kept it in use to hunt Buffalo for over 4000 years, until the coming
of the Europeans in the 16-, 17- and 1800s. |
Heritage Village Park in Calgary. Many of these buildings were relocated
from all over Alberta and painstaking re-assembled on this site. I'm not
sure of the authenticity of the ice cream shop at the far right though. |
