Accommodation: The Convent Country Inn, in Val Marie, is a beautiful restored convent on the edge of town, ten minutes from Grasslands National Park. Eight rooms are available for guests, ranging in price from about $40 for a single bed/single occupancy, to $60 for queen size bed/single occupancy. Double occupancy may be an option for some rooms. We will arrange booking a room for you based on your stated preferences on the application form. Participants who prefer to camp can stay in the municipal campground. The Convent will be our base of operations. It contains an excellent restaurant (complementary full breakfast for guests). Dinner entrees are priced in the $9-$16 range and are superb.

Transportation: Participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from Val Marie. Car-pooling may be possible for the field trips. Cars can be rented at most of the larger centres in Saskatchewan, e.g. Regina, Moose Jaw. From Regina, it is a 4-hour drive to Val Marie on good roads. Participants may arrive any time after 12 noon on Thursday, June 20.

Workshop fee: $285 (Cdn). Includes two and a half days of field trips, with lectures, music and slide presentations. Robert and Mette of The Convent will join us in hosting a complementary welcome buffet on Thursday. Participants are responsible for providing their own film. Participants will be required to sign a waiver of responsibility in the event of accident or injury sustained during the field trips.

Registration deadline: April 30. A maximum of 16 participants will be accepted.

Payment policy: A deposit of $50 is due upon registration. Balance of payment ($235) is due by May 15. An administration fee of $25 will be charged for cancellations prior to April 30. No deposit will be refunded after April 30. Balance of payment will be refunded in the event of cancellation only if we can replace you with another participant. If we are forced to cancel the workshop for any reason you will receive a full refund.
